Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of annx.dev. By using the site or joining the waitlist, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Last updated
Draft under review. This document is in plain language and is being reviewed before we incorporate. Questions: hello@annx.dev.
1. Who we are
The site is run by ANNX, an unincorporated project of its three founders (“ANNX”, “we”, “us”). When we incorporate, the new company will take our place under these terms. Contact: terms@annx.dev.
2. Who can use the site
The site is for business users aged 18 or over. If you use it, or join the waitlist, on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for that company, and “you” includes the company.
3. What the site is
ANNX has not launched. This site describes what we are building, shows early test results and a demo, and runs a waitlist. There is no paid service on it yet. Any future paid product, free lookup or design-partner program will come with its own terms, which you will see before you use it or pay. If those terms conflict with these, those terms win for that product.
4. Demo data and test results
The lookup demo and the test results in our updates come from a small sample we checked by hand on 3 Nov 2026, using public pages published by the companies and vendors named. Please read them with that in mind:
- They show what a page said when we read it. Pages change, and a record may already be out of date.
- They are incomplete. A company may use vendors its pages do not name, and a listing does not show how much a vendor is used.
- We may have made mistakes in reading or categorizing a page. The source link is there so you can check.
- They are a sample, not a census, and are not a statement about any company beyond what its own page said.
5. Not professional advice
Everything on the site is for general information. It is not legal, investment, financial, security or other professional advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or contract with any company. Check the source before relying on any record, and take advice where you need it.
6. Company names, trademarks and links
Company and vendor names, and any logos, are trademarks of their owners. We use names only to identify the companies and vendors their own pages describe. Their appearance does not mean they endorse ANNX or have any relationship with us. Links to other sites are for reference: we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them.
If you represent a company and think a record is wrong, see how to correct your entry.
7. Using the site
Please don't:
- copy the demo data in bulk, or use automated tools that ignore our robots.txt or put an unreasonable load on the site;
- try to get into our systems or database, get around a security or access control, or reach data that isn't yours;
- interfere with the site, or send it malware, spam or junk sign-ups;
- sign anyone else up for the waitlist without their permission, or give false details;
- use the site to break the law or anyone else's rights, or to build a competing dataset from our content;
- suggest that ANNX endorses you, or present our content as your own.
You can link to any page, and quote short excerpts with attribution to ANNX and a link back. If you find a security issue, please email terms@annx.dev rather than testing further, and don't access, change or keep data that isn't yours. We are grateful for good-faith reports.
8. Our content
The text, design, code, logo and compilation of data on this site belong to ANNX, except third-party material such as the source pages we link to and quote. We give you a limited, personal, revocable permission to view and use the site under these terms. These terms don't transfer any of our rights to you.
9. Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, we may use them to improve ANNX without owing you anything. We won't name you or your company publicly without your permission.
10. The waitlist and design partners
Joining the waitlist is free and doesn't commit you or us to anything. We may change or close the waitlist, and we can't promise a launch date, a price, or that every sign-up will get access. Ticking the design-partner box is a request to talk, not an agreement: if we work together, we will agree the details in writing first. How we handle your details is in our Privacy Policy.
11. Availability and changes to the site
We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time, including the demo. We may block access by anyone who breaks these terms.
12. No warranties
The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, or that the site will be available, secure or free of errors.
13. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, ANNX and its founders are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunities, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims relating to the site is limited to US$50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
14. If you misuse the site
If you use the site for a business and you break section 7 or the law, you agree to cover reasonable losses and costs, including legal fees, that ANNX and its founders suffer from third-party claims caused by that breach.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting a formal dispute, please email terms@annx.dev so we can try to settle it informally within 30 days. If we can't, disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights the law where you live gives you, including the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
16. Copyright complaints
If you think something on the site infringes your copyright, email terms@annx.dev with the work you think is infringed, where it appears on the site, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized. We will review it and remove material where appropriate.
17. General
- These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
- If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- We may transfer these terms to the company we form when we incorporate, or to a successor in a merger or sale. You may not transfer them without our written permission.
- We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- Sections 8, 9 and 12 to 17 continue to apply after you stop using the site.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and if a change is significant we will say so on the site or email the waitlist. If you keep using the site after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
19. Contact
